I received my PhD in Indigenous Traditional Knowledge from the Division of Transformative Learning at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management at the University of Manitoba (Indigenous Land-Based Educator). I have been a teacher, principal, and professor in Indigenous-related studies for 30 years. My cultural backgrounds are Mohawk and Scandinavian. I have published several books: Seeing the World with Aboriginal Eyes, The Rotinonshonni: A Traditional Iroquoian History, and A History of Newcomers and Indigenous Peoples for Educators.
