Nancy Riedel Bowers, PhD, RSW, RPT-S:
I am a registered social worker, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and a part-time Faculty member in the Faculty of Social Work, Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU). I received my MSW Program at WLU. After years of offering child and play therapy in child welfare and other settings, I completed a PhD in social work in 2001. I have published many peer-reviewed articles and completed a book entitled Play Therapy with Families: A Collaborative Approach to Healing (2013). I was Vice-President of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and have won national awards for my contributions in the play therapy and social work.
Olena Helen Darewych, PhD, RP, RCAT:
I am a registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, a registered Canadian Art Therapist, and an Adjunct Faculty at Adler University and WLU. I received my BA from the University of Toronto. I then ventured to California and completed an MA in Marital and Family Therapy with an emphasis in art therapy psychology, and then travelled to Boston to complete my PhD in expressive arts therapies at Lesley University. I have 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings in Canada, Australia, the United States, and Ukraine. I am Past President of the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I just completed my book: Positive Psychology Arts Activities.
